Once upon a time the house of a rich man was infested with rats. They were living there with great happiness without any fear. They were having a great fun and boldly moved in the house. But the inmates of the house were having a great trouble. One day they brought a cat ------------
Who will bell the cat?
Once upon a time the house of a rich man was infested (আক্রান্ত) with rats. They were living there with great happiness (সুখ) without any fear(ভয়). They were having a great fun (মজা) and boldly (সাহসিকতার সাথে) moved in the house. But the inmates (অধিবাসি) of the house were having a great trouble (সমস্যা). One day they brought a cat to kill (হত্যা) the rats.
The rats came to know (জানতে পারল) the presence (উপস্থিতি) of the cat in the house. Their lives were at stake (সংকটাপন্ন/বিপদাপন্ন). They could not move freely (স্বাধীনভাবে) as before. All the mice sat together in a meeting to discuss the matter (বিষয়). Several (কয়েকটি) proposals (প্রস্তাব) were made but none (কেউ না/কোনোটা না) of the proposals was good. At last, a young mouse said, "I have a good plan for your consideration (বিবেচনা). Let us tie (বাঁধা) a bell around (চারপাশ) the cat's neck (ঘাড়). Then, we shall hear him coming and hide (লুকানো) ourselves in time (সময়মত)." By hearing it, all the mice thanked the young mouse. They raised (তুলল) hue and cry (হৈ চৈ) over the matter. At that moment (ঐ মুহূর্তে), an old mouse stood up and said, "No doubt (সন্দেহ), the idea is good. But tell me, who'll bell the cat?" By hearing this, all remained (থাকল) silent (নীরব). There was none to bell the cat. Finally, who would bell the cat remain unsettled (অমীমাংসিত)? So the mice eventually (অবশেষে) migrated (স্থানান্তরিত).
