The sufferings of people during Liberation War - Paragraph

Bangladesh is an independent country. It became independent from Pakistan in 1971. Our liberation war started on 26 March in 1971. It lasted for nine months. People of all walks of life joined the war. Their target was to save the country.

To defend the country they sacrificed their lives smilingly. They did not run away showing their backs. But our people suffered much during the Liberation War. The Pakistani army killed numerous people whether they are old, women or child. They had to flee from the towns and take shelter in the villages. Any moment, the soldiers would come and tortured in search of freedom fighters. Many women in our country were rapped. During liberation roads, drains, bridges and houses were destroyed. Intellectuals were also killed brutally. People lived in fear for long nine months. But with a hope that we will be free. That was their real desire. This earnest desire ultimately made us free.
