Pollution
Pollution means the process (পদ্ধতি) of making anything dirty (নোংরা/ময়লা) or harmful (ক্ষতিকর). Environmental Pollution is the most discussed topic of the present world. Air, water, soil, sound etc. are the elements (উপাদান) of environment. So the process of making these elements dirty or harmful for people, animals and plants is environmental pollution. Our environment is polluted in many ways. Air is polluted by smoke which is considered (বিবেচনা করা) the main cause of air pollution. According to importance the position (অবস্থান) of water is next to air. Water is polluted by waste and filthy (নোংরা/ময়লা). Soil pollution is also a major concern for us.
Dumping (মালামাল খালঅস করা) and disposals (কোন কিছু ফেলে দেওয়া) of wastes in the soil and deforestation (বনউজাড়) are the main cause of soil pollution. Another form of environmental pollution is sound pollution. Sound is polluted by vehicle (যান) horns and microphones. Environmental pollution creates a ruinous (ধ্বংসাত্মক) effect. If our environment is polluted, we cannot live a comfortable life. Pollution causes various fatal diseases and the death of millions of people all over the world. In a word (এক কথায়/সংক্ষেপে), it hinders (বাঁধাগ্রস্থ) the balance (ভারসাম্য) and harmony (সঙ্গতি/সাদৃশ্য) of environment. So it is our bounden (অবশ্যপালনীয়) responsibility (দায়িত্ব) to prevent the environment from being spoil (নষ্ট). To prevent environmental pollution, first of all indiscriminate (নির্বিচার) cutting down of trees should be stopped. Besides, we have to plant more and more trees. Action should be taken against indiscriminate use of chemicals and throwing of waste and filth here and there (এদিক ওদিক). Above all, public (জনসাধারন) awareness have to be created through mass (ব্যাপক) campaign (অভিযান) in the mass media (গণমাধ্যম). By keeping our environment pollution free, we can ensure (সুনিশ্চিত করা) a healthier and happier life for our future generation (প্রজন্ম).
